Hanaseru Pharmacy

English-speaking pharmacy support for visitors to Japan

If you have been given a prescription at a clinic in Japan, we explain your medicine in English by video with a licensed Japanese pharmacist, and deliver it to your hotel.

How it works

  1. You see a doctor at one of our partner clinics in Japan and receive a prescription.
  2. The clinic registers your prescription with us and shows you a QR code. You scan it, or we send you a link.
  3. You confirm who you are, tell us where you are staying, and register a payment method. Nothing is charged at this point.
  4. A licensed pharmacist speaks with you by video, in English, about the medicine you have been prescribed.
  5. We deliver the medicine to your accommodation, and send you an itemised receipt in English.

You cannot start this yourself. Every case begins with a prescription registered by a partner clinic. We are not able to supply prescription medicine to anyone who has not been seen by a doctor in Japan.

How we contact you, and what we send

When you are registered at the clinic, the clinic staff enter your WhatsApp number or your email address in front of you, and type it a second time to confirm it. That is the only way we obtain your contact details. We do not buy, rent, or collect contact lists, and we never contact anyone who has not been registered by a partner clinic.

What we send

Every message is sent because of something you have just done. We do not send newsletters, promotions, or any marketing. There is no mailing list.

If you want us to stop

Reply STOP on WhatsApp, or email us at info@hs-pharmacy.com, and we will stop contacting you. If your case is still in progress, the pharmacy will reach you another way so that your medicine is not left unresolved.

What we never put in a message

We do not write the name of your medicine, your diagnosis, or any other clinical detail into WhatsApp or email. Anything of that kind is shown only on a secure page that opens from a link addressed to you.

Cost

This is a private (self-pay) service and is not covered by Japanese public health insurance. Alongside the medicine itself, there are dispensing, service, and delivery charges. You are shown the total before anything is charged.

We issue an itemised receipt in English. Many visitors are able to claim these costs back from their travel or private health insurer after returning home — whether your policy covers it is a matter between you and your insurer, so please keep the receipt.
